On 22nd. Nov. I met up with Thales for some new books to study.
It is because he went to University in Canada, lived nice long enough to get used to things in French, he can understand what's written and what people say in French.
He has however officially started to study the language, and so have I.
This time we wanted to get some books to study and our goal is to talk in French as we did in English.
When we met as we were in high school, sure we talked in Japanese but now, reunion after his return from Canada, we talk in English.
I'm sure we'll talk in French near future.
22日土曜日にタレスと勉強用の本を一緒に探すべく会いました。
彼はカナダの4大卒業して、フランス語圏にいい期間住んでたのもあり、だいたい人が何言っているのかとか読んで何が書いてあるのかは既に理解できるんだそう。(もうこの時点で引き離されてるw)
でも最近本腰を入れて勉強を始めたそうで、じゃ一緒に本探そうっていうことになり新宿で再会しました。こうして一緒に高め合える友だちっていいですよね。
今回、二人でちょっとした目標を立てました。笑 いつかフランス語で会話しようって。
高校生の時に出会った時から専門学校時代はもちろん日本語でしたが、彼がカナダから戻って来て6年ぶりに再会してからはずっと英語です。
だからフランス語で会話も出来るはず!

Coming back to the first floor of the book store, we found a Christmas tree made from books, just like a picture down below. How nice is that!
I want to build it.
本屋さんの一回に戻って来たら、ちょうどこんな感じの本でできたクリスマスツリーがレジそばにありました。超かわいい。
たくさん読んで私も絶対これ作りたい。
and there was Dan Brown's book in book tree and Thales told me he has read all his books and he's a fan of Dan.
I am going to borrow, as he suggested, one of his Dan Brown books soon.
From the book shelf where we were standing I got a book from Agatha Christie, Third Girl.
積み上げられてる本の間にダン・ブラウンの本があり、タレスは彼のファンで全冊読んだって言ってました。「これ面白いから、よかったら貸すよ」って言ってくれたので最新冊を借りれそうです。
洋書の棚のところに行って、アガサクリスティーのシリーズがあったので私はそこから"Third Girl"を買ってみました。
We headed then for lunch and had nice pizzas. :)
His talk heated up, his hand hit his wine glass, and one drop of red wine spattered my sweater. lol
Fortunately the material color was dark enough to cover up the stain.
I love this passionate guy!
このあと、ランチにタレスが一回来てみたかったっていうピッツァリアで美味しいピザを頂きました。
トークに熱の入った彼が赤ワインをこぼして私のセーターに跳ねて焦りましたが、濃い目の色の生地だったのでセーフ。笑
ラテン系は熱いよねー笑
Then we came to another city for a meet up and I got to have new friends.
Thales and his friends started so-called "Meetup" where people who're interested in speaking and doing activities in English get together and enjoy chats and stuff.

その後、タレスが「友だちとの集まりがあるんだけど一緒に来る?」ってことで代々木上原に。新しく友だちもできて感激。
いわゆる"Meetup"(ミートアップ)っていう集まりなのですが、Meetup (SNS)上で誰でも自分でイベントを作れ、それぞれの趣味の活動に集まり友だちを作れるってスタイルなんでしょう。
今回私が偶然行けたのはMeetupのサイトで調べてみたらおそらく"language & culture"(言語&文化)か"Coffee lovers"(コーヒーラバーズ)と思われました。
こういうグループ名もイベント名も自由に作れて、中には"Education (教育)"、"Dance (踊り)" "language (言語)", "Fitness (フィットネス)"などなど、挙げたら切りがないくらいいろーんなイベントがあります。
私も早速アカウント作って興味のあるイベントにチェックしておきました。
フランス語、もちろん参加してみます。
At the evening I was invited for a party by another friend of mine.
Thales' been going to Salsa dance class and he had one in the evening so we had to say goodbye and I went to Ginza with my new friend, Ryan, who I got to know at Meetup.
At 9pm we had to leave the party hall/bar and of course we needed some more drinks.
We hit a German pub to grab nice beers and enjoyed talk.
Well, I missed the last train but I got back home safely.
Many things happened in one day. I love it.
この夜私は別の友だちにパーティーに誘われていたのでタレスと別れて銀座へ。タレスはサルサを最近習っていて踊りに行きました。
Meetupで仲良くなったアメリカ人のライアンも誘ったら来るというので一緒に行きました。
21時でここは完全撤収だったので飲み足りなくて近くのバーに6人で行きました。
終電逃したけど無事帰宅できて安心。
一日の中で色んなことが起きて大収穫の週末でした。
